I thought it was about time I said thank you to all of you lovely readers by doing a little giveaway!
**The giveaway has ended.
I have a package here of some of my handmade items:
-A chalkboard flowerpot
-Two crochet dish scrubbers
-One red juice glass recycled wax candle, fruit slices scent (my personal fave)

The flowerpot is the larger of the two sizes I made this summer, and is actually plastic, so it's much less likely to break in the mail.

It doesn't come with a flower, but it does have two pieces of chalk in cute whale-y ribbon.

This is about $25 worth of goodies, and I want you to have it!
So, all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me a little about yourself. Are you mainly a crafter? A cook? An all-around Martha? Or do you just love to read blogs (this I understand, as I have at least 50 in my reader).
I will randomly select a winner tomorrow morning before I leave for Ragbrai. At that time you can e-mail me your address so I know where to ship it.
Coming up soon I have another giveaway from a crafty reader, so get excited for that, too!

I recently discovered this blog and I love it. I love to cook and bake, but unfortunately with two boys ages 4 and 17 months I don't have nearly enough time to do either. I'm obsessed with the Food Network and any blogs that deal with food.
I love reading blogs and getting ideas for crafting/cooking projects!
I'm crazy about blogs, cooking, and craftiness although I'm not actually all that crafty myself. I mostly just adore others' mad crafting skills!
Delurking for two reasons. First, this is kind of awesome. Second, I'm a bit bothered by your title, "Failed Feminist". How have you failed? You seem to be drawn to a certain type of lifestyle, and you are choosing to embrace it, and it's embracing you. That seems like a success story to me. You get to choose. That's part of the deal.
:)
i love doing it all! i love to cook but usually keep it very very simple with 2 little ones climbing up my legs and insisting to help. i also love to craft and knit and sew and try anything and everything.
I enjoy cooking and gardening and love reading blogs for ideas. Your crafts are inspiring.
Bob - the title is meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Kind of on 2 levels. One, that if you try to be a 'perfect' feminist, you're bound to fail. And two, that it's kind of ironic for a huge feminist to want to do nothing more than cook and craft. :)
I'm not much of a cook or craftster myself, but I enjoy your writings about Des Moines. It truly is a cooler place than given credit for.
I too am a craftster and love getting inspiration from you. Thanks Cara!
Hi there! I am a beginner seamstress and online vintage shop owner. I hope to some day master my sewing machine and create my own line of upcycled clothing.
